What does Lucky’s Market focus on, in regards to community impact?

Lucky’s Market Impact Program is dedicated to improving the quality of life in communities where we live and work by supporting vendors, their communities and local organizations addressing vital community needs. Specifically, Lucky’s Market focuses on the following three areas:

Can Lucky’s Market donate food and drink for our upcoming event?

It’s quite possible. For donation consideration, please complete our application and submit it your local store’s Marketing Manager at least 5 weeks prior to the event.

We have an upcoming event. Can Lucky’s Market sponsor the event?

You never know unless you ask! We proudly partner with many organizations, but we don’t usually sponsor events due to our limited impact budget (which primarily focuses on directly impacting those who live in our communities).

Although this is the case, we are always interested in learning about new opportunities that align with our goals and areas of impact. Please fill out an Event Sponsorship Request Form and submit to your local store’s Marketing Manager 8 weeks prior to the event.

What are Lucky’s Market’s partnership programs?

Held once every other month (typically a Tuesday or Thursday), 10% of that designated day’s net store sales are donated to a local nonprofit.

Each quarter, three nonprofits are selected to receive bag credit donations from their local Lucky’s Market store. When shoppers bring in their reusable bags, they can choose to receive $.10 back per bag credit or donate that amount to a local nonprofit of their choice. Even better: when a shopper donates, Lucky’s Market will match the donation and double the giving to the nonprofits!

How can my nonprofit apply to become a partner for a Impact Day or Bags for Change?

Please complete complete an application and submit it to the store marketer with a copy of your current IRS determination letter indicating tax-exempt, 501(C) 3 status and W9. If using a fiscal agent, please include a Letter of Authorization. Once the review is complete, the store will contact the nonprofits which have been chosen.

Does Lucky’s Market offer a discount gift card program for fundraising purposes?

Absolutely! Nonprofit organizations may purchase Lucky’s Market gift cards (Scrip Program) at a 7% discount. The nonprofit may then sell the cards at face value, retaining the 7%. There is a $500 minimum card purchase.

How do I get involved with the Gift Card Fundraising program?

Simply contact your local Marketing Manager, fill out the Donation Application and state the amount of your gift card order, along with the number of $25 cards, $50 cards and $100 cards you would like. Once the application is complete, please submit the completed packet to the store marketer with a copy of your current IRS determination letter indicating tax-exempt, 501(C) 3 status. If using a fiscal agent, please include a Letter of Authorization. The store will call you when your cards have arrived.

Does Lucky’s Market offer a volunteering program for staff?

Yes! Our team members accrue paid volunteer hours when donating their time to a charity of their choice. All full-time team members have the opportunity to earn a total of 32 paid hours per year!

Please provide your current IRS determination letter indicating tax-exempt 501(C)3, volunteer opportunities available and the hours available for volunteering.

We are a for-profit business working with many nonprofits. Can you support our next event?

That depends. Please contact your local Marketing Manager to discuss the event and how it will benefit the nonprofit community.

Why does Lucky’s Market need so much documentation from a nonprofit?

Our application process allows Lucky’s Market to work from a common set of solid, nonprofit practices. Lucky’s Market focuses on three different areas of impact. Prior to submitting an application, it is the nonprofit’s responsibility to determine whether the organization meets the guidelines and funding priorities for Lucky’s Market Giving Program.

I would like to acknowledge Lucky’s Market for their donation. Can I request a logo? How should it be used?

Please notify the Marketing and Events Manager of your local store regarding your intended use of the Lucky’s Market logo. Provided logos may be used on your website, in your social media efforts, event brochures and other printed and online event collateral. If you have additional questions regarding logo use, please discuss this with your local Marketing Manager.
